Is the ionic detox good for anybody?
Yes! Most people can benefit from an ionic detox.
It is especially good for those suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, skin conditions, and fungal or yeast infections.
Contraindicated for those who have a pacemaker, hemophiliacs, implanted organs or on blood thinners. No woman that are pregnant or nursing. NO open sores or lesions on his/her feet. People with Diabetes Type I should use this therapy with precaution.
The benefit of this form of detox is that it is, “gentle and safe". Ion Foot Cleanse may be done once a week. The detox also works well when accompanied with massage, to stimulate blood flow, in treating peripheral neuropathy.
The best time to detox for people who are not suffering from a specific ailment is during the transitional seasons.
What is the Ion Foot Cleanse?
The process of an ionic detox foot bath is actually quite simple.
We start by filling a tub with warm water. Salt is added to the warm water to improve conductivity. Then we place an array into the tub to produce a gentle electrical current.
This direct current breaks the water into negatively charged hydroxide ions and hydrogen gas.
When the machine is turned on, the patient might notice a slight tingling sensation in the feet. That’s because our bodies are made of water and electrolytes, and they allow the current to travel through the body. This current causes the tingling sensation as it works like a catalyst to boost the body’s own natural detoxifying abilities.
By the end of a 30-minute session, the water changes color. The color change is caused by the oxidation of the metal plates in the array and the ions reacting with solutes in the water.
